Women’s rights were a major issue during the 2016 presidential campaign, especially given that one candidate was a woman and the new President-elect made headlines when several women accused him of sexual misconduct.

Teresa C. Younger, president and CEO of the Ms. Foundation for Women, will deliver a public lecture addressing women’s issues, titled “Dismantling the P-Word: Moving Toward a Post-Feminist Society.”

Younger became president and CEO of the Ms. Foundation for Women—the oldest women’s foundation in the United States—in 2014. Under her leadership, the Foundation launched the multimedia campaign, #MyFeminismIs; funded a groundbreaking report on the sexual abuse-to-prison pipeline; joined leading women’s foundations at the White House to announce a $100-million funding commitment, Prosperity Together, to create pathways to economic opportunity for low-income women and girls; and led a campaign to hold the National Football League accountable for violence against women. This year, Inside Philanthropy named Younger one of the “50 Most Powerful Women in U.S. Philanthropy.”
