The Heart of Nuba

Date & Time Nov 28 2018 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Audience Open to the Public, Registration Required

Princeton University’s Center for Health and Wellbeing, in collaboration with CMMB (Catholic Medical Mission Board), is hosting a very special screening of The Heart of Nuba. This award-winning film documents the atrocities of war in Sudan and highlights the remarkable life of Dr. Tom Catena, an American doctor who selflessly and courageously serves the forgotten people of the Nuba Mountains. The Heart of Nuba is a deeply moving testimony of humanity, at its best.

ABC News Correspondent, Linsey Davis, will join us for the screening. She interviewed both Dr. Tom Catena and director Ken Carlson earlier this year. After the film, both Linsey and Ken will lead a discussion and answer questions from the audience.

On campus, this event is co-sponsored by the Center for Heath and Wellbeing, as well as the Department of African American Studies, the Department of Anthropology, the Department of Philosophy, and the Office of Religious Life.
