Maryum Saifee is a policymaker, strategist, and advocate, committed to building inclusive pipelines to leadership in national security. She works for the U.S. Department of State, a Foreign Service Officer for over a decade and currently serves as a Senior Advisor in the Secretary’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Saifee will discuss in her personal capacity about US DEAI policies under the Biden administration, policies on FGM, and provide examples from countries on how the Dept of State works to make DEAI (Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Inclusion) “everybody’s business”.
