Alycia Bayne, MPA ‘06, Senior Research Scientist in NORC’s Public Health Research Department, will provide information about NORC’s projects and employment opportunities. Founded in 1941, NORC is an independent, not-for-profit, social science research organization affiliated with the University of Chicago. NORC’s mission is to conduct high quality research in the public interest. Our work helps to inform decision makers about important issues facing society through data collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination. NORC is headquartered in Chicago and has offices in Bethesda, Atlanta, Boston, and San Francisco. NORC’s research capabilities are organized into five broad areas: Health and Well-Being; Education, Training, and Learning; Economics, Markets, and the Workforce; Global Development; and Society, Media, and Public Affairs.
