Ambassador Husain Haqqani currently serves as a Senior Fellow and Director for South and Central Asia at the Hudson Institute. He is also co-chair of its Project on the Future of the Muslim World and co-editor of the journal, 'Current Trends in Islamist Ideology.' He served as Pakistan's ambassador to the United States from 2008-2011 and also served as an advisor to four Pakistani Prime Ministers, Yusuf Raza Gilani, Benazir Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif, and Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi. He also served as Pakistan's Ambassador to Sri Lanka in 1992-1993.
