Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine was one of the gravest challenges to European security in decades and a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and international law. As a political advisor at the U.S. Mission to the UN, Jason Park (MPP ’25) worked intimately on multiple historic UN Security Council and General Assembly resolutions on Ukraine. In this forum, Jason will discuss how the international community responded to Russian aggression against Ukraine from the perspective of a negotiator at the UN.

MPP Forum is a weekly event normally scheduled on Fridays with *lunch during the academic year. It allows each MPP student to showcase their career journey and expertise on a policy issue of their choice with the SPIA community. This formal presentation lasts about 50 minutes, followed by a 20-minute Q&A.

*RSVP required. We will try our best, but we cannot guarantee accommodation for all dietary restrictions.
