Speaker(s)
Jose Echeverria, MPP '25

Advocacy has shaped policies and, in some cases, achieved political change. Using his experience in activism and leading grassroots movements in Guatemala, Jose will share tools to develop and implement comprehensive advocacy plans. In the process—and through his insights of Guatemala's most crucial contemporary political moments—he will also question how we measure change and what effectiveness means in social movements.

MPP Forum is a weekly event normally scheduled on Fridays with *lunch during the academic year. It allows each MPP student to showcase their career journey and expertise on a policy issue of their choice with the SPIA community. This formal presentation lasts about 50 minutes, followed by a 20-minute Q&A.

*RSVP required. We will try our best, but we cannot guarantee accommodation for all dietary restrictions.
