Biography

M. Emre Coskun is a dedicated and passionate quantitative social scientist, currently serving as a Research Specialist at the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Global Governance within the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA). With a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Georgia State University and Georgia Institute of Technology, Emre brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.

Emre’s research interests lie at the intersection of data science and public policy, with a focus on political economy. Currently, Emre is deeply engaged in research projects involving large regional socioeconomic data of European countries and text analysis of political speech data. His work aims to uncover insights into the complex dynamics of political and economic systems.

With over six years of experience in data analysis and quantitative research, Emre is skilled in applying advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to contribute towards evidence-based policy decisions. He is committed to leveraging data-driven insights to drive positive change and contribute to the advancement of society.

Emre enjoys hiking, playing the acoustic guitar, and photography in his free time. He is dedicated to lifelong learning and professional growth, continually seeking out new opportunities to expand his knowledge and skills at the intersection of data science, social sciences, and public policy.
