This large conference of internationally and US-based scholars aims to bring together experts in the study of democracy from institutional, behavioral, historical, and cross-country perspectives to discuss populism and threats to established democracies. The conference is part of CSDP's project on democratic “frontsliding”, which examines ways to address and pre-empt democratic backsliding in established democracies democracies.
