Meghana was born and raised in Chennai, India. She has an undergraduate degree in economics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University. Upon graduation, Meghana joined IDinsight, a research and advisory firm that uses data and evidence to help policymakers make more socially impactful decisions. At IDinsight, she worked on various projects across agriculture, sanitation, health, and education with a diverse set of partners both in the nonprofit sector as well as the Indian government. Her work spanned across Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. Meghana is interested in how different social contexts and gender shape economic development. She completed her MPA summer internship with the Research Institute for Compassionate Economics. While at Princeton, Meghana hopes to continue exploring ways to use evidence in policymaking.
